Installing S3 964 Drivers on OS/2 Warp
--------------------------------------
Symptoms
* Installation does not finish.
* Installation process locks up.
Resolution
Edit the S3INST.CMD file and change all references to x:\OS2 to
x:\OS2\BOOT (x is the drive where OS/2 is installed).
The drivers cannot be installed in their original format because they
refer to the OS/2 directory. OS/2 Warp installs the drivers into the
OS2\BOOT directory.
Procedure
1. Insert the S3 Driver Diskette in the diskette drive.
2. Type the letter of the diskette drive (for example A:) and press
Enter.
3. Type E S3INST.CMD and press Enter.
4. Change x:\OS2 to x:\OS2\BOOT (x is the drive where OS/2 is
installed).
5. Save the file; then continue the installation.
