  9. DESCRIPTION

  11. On systems with so many hard disk partitions that L: is in use by the 
  12. system for a CD-ROM drive, the NetWare Requester for OS/2 is unable to 
  13. start, because it uses L: to connect to the NetWare Server.
  14.  
  15. RESOLUTION
  16.  
  17. Change the drive letter used by NetWare from L: to a different
  18. letter by adding a line in the NET.CFG file as follows:
  19.  
  20. 1. Open an OS/2 window and type E C:\NET.CFG, then press Enter.
  21.    (where C: is the installation drive).
  22.  
  23. 2. Add the following text on a new line:
  24.  
  25.    DEFAULT LOGIN DRIVE X
  26.  
  27.    where X is the new drive letter to be used exclusively by
  28.    Netware
  29.    
  30.    Notes: 1. Do not specify a colon after the drive letter.
  31.  
  32.            2. If the computer is running OS/2 LAN Server, do not use 
  33.               drive letters Y: or Z: for the NetWare requester. 
  34.               LAN Server uses these drive letters for RIPL 
  35.               (Remote Initial Program Load), 
  36.               and unpredictable events can occur.
