  13. Plug and Play modem does not function with OS/2 Warp 4.
  14.  
  15. RESOLUTION
  16.  
  17. If you experience problems with a plug and play modem and OS/2 Warp 4:
  18.  
  19. First, follow the instructions in the OS/2 Warp 4 README file, located 
  20. in the root directory of the OS/2 startup drive. Section 6.0 covers 
  21. plug and play modems.
  22.  
  23. If you continue to have problems, check the documentation for your 
  24. modem. OS/2 uses the International Standard for PnP, not PnP for 
  25. Windows95. If your modem only supports PnP for Windows 95, contact the 
  26. manufacturer of the modem for further assistance or exchange the modem 
  27. for one with hardware jumpers.

  29. Note: For SupraXpress PnP modems, there is a small 3rd party
  30.       utility available on the Internet at 
  31.       http://www.softio.com/softfile.htm.
  32.       This utility can be used to change the modem settings;
  33.       however, this utility is not supported by IBM.
