  13. MWave modem does not function with OS/2 Warp 4.
  14.  
  15. RESOLUTION
  16.  
  17. To use an MWave modem with OS/2 Warp 4:
  18.  
  19. 1. Install the proper drivers for the particular MWave device, for 
  20.    example, ThinkPad, Aptiva, or other.
  21.  
  22. 2. Once the drivers are installed properly, the following steps must be 
  23.    taken before trying to use the MWave modem:
  24.  
  25.    a. Open the MWave folder on the Desktop.
  26.  
  27.    b. Double-click on the MWave modem icon to start the MWave modem and 
  28.       MWave Discriminator applications.  
  29.  
  30.    Once these applications are running the modem should work without 
  31.    problems and function normally.
  32.  
  33. Note: These extra steps are required under OS/2 Warp 4 due to a change 
  34.       in the operating system; the MWave drivers (which were designed 
  35.       for OS/2 Warp 3) are no longer able to automatically start the 
  36.       MWave modem and MWave Discriminator applications whenever an 
  37.       application requires access to the modem.
