DESCRIPTION
The Logitech serial mouse locks up when using shareware SIO (Serial
Input Output) COM port drivers.
RESOLUTION
1. Open an OS/2 Window and type E CONFIG.SYS, then press Enter.
2. Find the DEVICE=C:\OS2\BOOT\MOUSE.SYS statement;
add SERIAL=COM1 to the end.
3. Ensure the SIO drivers are loaded after the MOUSE.SYS driver.
4. Shut down and restart the system.
Note: Having COM3 and COM4 disabled in the BIOS may or may not have any
bearing on the matter.
