  11. DESCRIPTION

  13. The Logitech serial mouse locks up when using shareware SIO (Serial 
  14. Input Output) COM port drivers.
  15.  
  16. RESOLUTION
  17.  
  18. 1. Open an OS/2 Window and type E CONFIG.SYS, then press Enter.
  19.  
  20. 2. Find the DEVICE=C:\OS2\BOOT\MOUSE.SYS statement; 
  21.    add SERIAL=COM1 to the end.
  22.  
  23. 3. Ensure the SIO drivers are loaded after the MOUSE.SYS driver.
  24.  
  25. 4. Shut down and restart the system.
  26.  
  27. Note: Having COM3 and COM4 disabled in the BIOS may or may not have any 
  28.       bearing on the matter.
