  11. DESCRIPTION
  12.  
  13. OS/2 sessions lock up when keyboards are switched through a switchbox. 
  14. "Hot plugging" works in WIN-OS/2 sessions, but is not supported in 
  15. OS/2 2.1

  17. RESOLUTION
  18.  
  19. If you are switching keyboards, consider:
  20.  
  21. * Keyboard BIOS revisions should be AMI version F, G, or H. Version F
  22.   is specified in OS/2 documentation, and AMI has revisions G and H to
  23.   update keyboard BIOS.
  24.  
  25. * The OS/2 keyboard device driver is very timing-sensitive. Cabling
  26.   should be kept to short lengths to limit timing issues. Maximum cable
  27.   length, from computer to keyboard, should be 10 feet.
  28.  
  29. * The keyboard scan code should be 100% IBM 101-key compatible.
  30.  
  31. * If the problem is intermittent, check the plug and socket. Eliminate
  32.   adapters to ensure a good connection at the system.
  33.  
  34. * For PS/2 models, use Misco Inc. and Ruthers Inc. switchboxes.
