  13. DESCRIPTION
  14.  
  15. On a ThinkPad 760, the system stops at a black screen after the OS/2 
  16. Logo while installing OS/2 Warp (during the first restart).
  17.  
  18. RESOLUTION
  19.  
  20. 1. Restart the system with the OS/2 Installation Diskette, inserting
  21.     Diskette 1 when prompted.
  22.  
  23.  2. Press F3 at the Welcome Screen to go to a command prompt.
  24.  
  25.  3. Insert the OS/2 Warp Video Fix Diskette that came with the 
  26.     ThinkPad.
  27.  
  28.  4. Type REPVGA X and press Enter (where X is the drive where OS/2 is
  29.     being installed).
  30.  
  31.  5. Remove the diskette and restart the system.
  32.  
  33.  6. The installation continues; at the System Configuration screen, 
  34.     choose VGA for Primary Display.
  35.  
  36.  7. Upon completion of the installation, repeat steps 1-5 above.
  37.  
  38.  8. Install the SVGA drivers for the ThinkPad. (See the README file on
  39.     the OS/2 Warp Video Fix Diskette for instructions on this procedure.)

  41. Note: If you experience any problems with this procedure or with the 
  42.       OS/2 Warp Video Fix Diskette or the SVGA Drivers provided with 
  43.       the ThinkPad, contact the PC Company for assistance,
