  9. DESCRIPTION
  10.  
  11. A SYS3175 in INSTALL.EXE occurs during installation of WIN-OS/2 
  12. support, with the following register information:
  13.

  27. RESOLUTION
  28.  
  29. 1. Restart the system with the OS/2 Warp 4  Installation Diskettes;
  30.    escape to a command prompt at the Easy/Advanced screen.
  31.  
  32. 2. Change to the \OS2IMAGE\DISK_3 subdirectory on the OS/2 Warp 4 
  33.    CD-ROM.
  34.  
  35. 3. Type CHKDSK C: /F then press Enter (where C: is the OS/2 partition).
  36.  
  37. 4. Repeat this command until there are no errors.
  38.  
  39. 5. Change to the OS/2 partition and type DIR *.CHK, then press Enter. 
  40.    If there are any .CHK files, delete them by typing DEL *.CHK, then 
  41.    pressing Enter.
  42.  
  43. 6. Remove the diskette from drive A: and restart the system.
  44.  
  45. 7. Open the OS/2 System folder, then the System Setup folder.
  46.  
  47. 8. Open the Install/Remove folder.
  48.  
  49. 9. Double click on Selective Uninstall.
  50.  
  51. 10. Select OS/2 DOS and WIN-OS/2 support, then Uninstall.
  52.  
  53. 11. When the Selective Uninstall procedure is complete, shutdown and 
  54.     restart the system.
  55.  
  56. 12. Use the Selective Install process to install WIN-OS/2 support.
