  13. DESCRIPTION
  14.  
  15. When installing OS/2 Warp on a PS/2 system with an AOX upgrade card, 
  16. the system locks up at Diskette 1 with a blank screen and the 
  17. diskette-drive light on.
  18.  
  19. RESOLUTION
  20.  
  21. The options diskette for the AOX card has two settings:
  22.                                   
  23.    NO:  The default.
  24.    YES: The system returns that it is a PS/2 Model 80.
  25.  
  26. Change the setting to YES.
  27.  
  28. If the system then locks up on drivers, such as IBMKBD and SONY31A:
  29.  
  30. 1. Edit the CONFIG.SYS file.
  31.  
  32. 2. Remark-out (REM) all of the SCSI and CD-ROM driver statements (the
  33.    BASEDEV statements at the end of the file).
  34.  
  35. 3. Remark-out the IBM2FLPY.ADD driver statement.
  36.  
  37. 4. Make sure the IBM1FLPY statement reads:

  39.       BASEDEV=IBM1FLPY.ADD /MCA
  40.  
  41. 5. Save and exit the file.
  42.  
  43. This allows the system to display the Welcome screen so you can 
  44. successfully install OS/2 Warp.
  45.  
  46. Retry the installation.
