  11. DESCRIPTION

  13. The system fails to load the AHA164X.ADD driver during startup on the 
  14. following model systems:
  15.  
  16. IBM PS/2 9577-BNG
  17. IBM PS/2 9577-ANB
  18. IBM PS/2 9577-ANG
  19.  
  20. Other MCA (Micro Channel) PS/2 systems may also be affected.  The 
  21. Adaptec 1640 MCA SCSI adapter was not tested by IBM for use in PS/2 
  22. systems. There is a BIOS incompatibility between the adapter and the 
  23. PS/2 systems.

  28. PS/2 system, you should return to the point of purchase or contact 
  29. Adaptec Technical Support at 1-800-959-7274.
