  11. DESCRIPTION

  13. This document describes how to obtain the latest version of the 
  14. Requester so you can run OS/2 on a Novell NetWare network.
  15.  
  16. RESOLUTION

  18. There are two supported versions of the Requester, plus several patches 
  19. (NSDs) available:
  20.  
  21. * From Novell:
  22.  
  23.   Novell supports OS/2 2.x with OS/2 Requester 2.10. You can download
  24.   the latest requester from Novell's NetWare forum on CompuServe, or do
  25.   an anonymous FTP to:
  26.      
  27.       ftp.novell.com /pub/netware/novfiles/ client.kit/os2

  29. * From IBM:
  30.  
  31.   Download files OS2DC1.EXE, OS2UT1.EXE, WSDRV1.EXE, WSOS21.EXE, and
  32.   WSOS22.EXE from the PCC BBS (919-517-0001). Each file is a
  33.   self-extracting zip file that should be unpacked to its own diskette.
  34.   For example, type:

  38.   OS/2 2.1 can have many problems if you are using an old Requester. To
  39.   tell which Requester is running, look at the date of the
  40.   \NETWARE\VIPX.SYS file. It should be dated 4/8/94 for Requester
  41.   version 2.10.

  43.   If there is no NetWare server with global directory services on the
  44.   LAN, add the line DIRECTORY SERVICES OFF to the NET.CFG file. The
  45.   line must start with at least one space.
