  11. DESCRIPTION
  12.  
  13. During installation of OS/2 Warp on a ZEOS Pantera system, intermittent 
  14. traps are experienced, usually during phase 2 of the installation. The 
  15. following error message appears:
  16.  
  17.    SYS3175:  A program encountered a problem and cannot continue.
  18.  
  19. Note: The exact message varies; it could be something other than 
  20. SYS3175.
  21.  
  22. The system has a 90-MHz Pentium processor, Phoenix BIOS Version 4.03, 
  23. and an Enhanced IDE controller.
  24.  
  25. RESOLUTION
  26.  
  27. 1. Disable the Prefetch setting from the BIOS setup. (This setting is
  28.    on one of the menus for the hard drive.)
  29.  
  30. 2. Restart the system and the installation.
  31.  
  32. Note: The Prefetch option is associated with the controller, so this
  33.       problem might occur on any system with hardware that supports
  34.       such a setting, not just a system with a Pentium processor.
