  11. DESCRIPTION

  13. Diskette drives don't read the A: drive properly on some Gateway 2000 
  14. Notebooks. At times, OS/2 reads all the files; at other times it will 
  15. see only a few files on the diskette. Sometimes when reading the 
  16. diskette, you get EA errors.

  19. RESOLUTION
  20.  
  21. 1. At an OS/2 Window or Full-Screen session, type the following and
  22.    press Enter.

  24.      E CONFIG.SYS
  25.  
  26. 2. Remove (REM) the AMP.SYS and the VAMP.SYS.
  27.  
  28. 3. Shut down and restart the system.
