  11. DESCRIPTION
  12.  
  13. Cannot access the diskette drive after installing OS/2 Warp 3.0. The 
  14. problem did not occur when OS/2 2.X was installed on the system.
  15.  
  16. RESOLUTION
  17.  
  18. Note: Make sure you have a backup of any file you intend to change.
  19.  
  20. The OS/2 Warp Installation program adds both the OEM and PS/2 
  21. diskette-drive device drivers to the CONFIG.SYS file of some systems. 
  22. Remark-out (REM) the unneeded device driver in the CONFIG.SYS file, as 
  23. follows:

  25. 1. At an OS/2 command prompt, type E CONFIG.SYS and press Enter to edit
  26.    the CONFIG.SYS file.
  27.  
  28. 2. Make the following changes:
  29.  
  30.    * For IBM PS/2 Micro Channel systems:
  31.  
  32.      Change: BASEDEV=IBM1FLPY.ADD
  33.      To:     REM BASEDEV=IBM1FLPY.ADD
  34.  
  35.    * For other systems:
  36.  
  37.      Change: BASEDEV=IBM2FLPY.ADD
  38.      To:     REM BASEDEV=IBM2FLPY.ADD
  39.  
  40. 3. Save and exit the file; then shut down and restart the system.
