=======================================================================
Please Read Entire Document for Full Explanation of Procedures
--------------------------------------------------------------
DESCRIPTION
After attaching a new hard drive to an Adaptec 152x controller card,
FDISK in OS/2 recognizes the drive but does not display any options. No
partitions can be created.
RESOLUTION
Any SCSI hard drive attached to an Adaptec 152x controller card must
first have partitions created using the AFDISK utility on the first
EZ-SCSI Utility Diskette which comes with the controller.
1. Insert the first EZ-SCSI Utility Diskette into drive A:.
Shut down and restart the system.
2. Follow the instructions on screen to run AFDISK to set
the partitions on the new drive.
You can also run the AFDISK utility on the first EZ-SCSI Utility
Diskette by restarting the system to MS or PC DOS. From the DOS command
prompt, change to the A: drive and type SETUP. Press Enter, then follow
the instructions on screen.
Note: If you have any questions or problems with this utility,
please contact Adaptec at (408) 934-7274 or visit
their Internet site at http:\\www.adaptec.com.
