  1. 1)  Open the OS/2 System folder
  2.  
  3. 2)  Open the System Setup folder
  4.  
  5. 3)  Run the Create Utility Diskettes and create all 3 diskettes (2-boot 1-utility)
  6.  
  7. 4)  Edit the CONFIG.SYS on the boot diskette #2:
  8.     a) Change the line MEMMAN=NOSWAP,PROTECT to MEMMAN=SWAP,PROTECT
  9.     b) Add the line SWAPPATH=X:\ 1024 1024 on the line under the memman line where 
  10.         X: is a formated hard disk drive.
  11.     c) Add the line DEVICE=X.SYS to the end of the CONFIG.SYS file
  12.         X: is FTDVR.SYS if you are using a floppy controlled tape drive.
  13.         X: is PTDVR.SYS if you are using a paralled controlled tape drive.
  14.         X: is TC15DVR.SYS if you are using a CMS TC-15 hi-speed tape adapter.
  15.         X: is TTDVR.SYS if you are using BackMaster v1.1a and have a CMS Trakker tape drive.

  17. 5)  Copy the appropriate driver, as detailed in 4c, to the second boot floppy.

  19. 6)  Copy the following files to the Utility Disk (#3)
  20.  
  21.     BMREST.EXE 
  22.     BMREST.CFG
  23.     QICCOMPR.DLL
  24.     KBDCALLS.DLL
  25.  
  26. 7)  Shutdown your system and test the Recover Diskettes and BMREST.
