  8.        DESCRIPTION OF SYMPTOMS:

  10.        If the enhanced front of screen is used(this is the
  11.        default...  its set on the Display options panel of the
  12.        Advanced Configuration Options portion of the
  13.        configuration) then there will be no background color on
  14.        the RULE line....  Enhanced mode causes the PC/3270 to use
  15.        something called MFI functions of the XGA.2 card, and one
  16.        of these functions needs attribute byte that is associated
  17.        with the RULE background color.

  19.        SUMMARY OF RESOLUTION:

  21.        Run the PC/3270 using vga functions by editing the .bat
  22.        file in the PCDOS directory or set the Enhanced Front of
  23.        Screen to off.

  25.        DETAILS OF RESOLUTION:

  27.        1. Change to the c:\PC3270\PCSDOS directory.  2. Edit the
  28.        .bat file within the directory.  There will only be one.
  29.        3. Change the following line:

  31.        C:\PC3270\PCSDOS 2 a=24*80 b=24*80 -gs -f -ef %CMGR.QUIET%

  38.        NOTE:  The other solution is to set the Front of Screen to
  39.        off in the Display options panel of the Advanced
  40.        Configuration Options portion of the PC3270 set up.
