  6.                   FILE DEPENDENCY REQUIREMENTS

  8.         DESCRIPTION OF SYMPTOMS:
  9.  
  10.         1. OS/2 for Windows requires that the files have the exact
  11.            size as listed below. If any of the files differ, the install
  12.            process won't generate an error and the Program Manager won't
  13.            load. This is a dependency requirement for the Windows system to
  14.            load.
  15.  
  16.         2. Note the .COM files listed, as these are necessary to be
  17.            able to start Windows, or launch WIN-OS/2 full screen.
  18.  
  19.         SUMMARY OF RESOLUTION:
  20.  
  21.         1. Compare Windows system files to the file sizes listed below.
  22.  
  23.         2. WIN.COM and WINOS2.COM should be the same, while
  24.            WINDOS.COM will be larger because it becomes WIN.COM
  25.            when DOS is booted
  26.  
  27.            (i.e. it gets renamed from WINDOS.COM to WIN.COM).
