  1. TITLE: 950118 APTIVA MACHINES WITH THE ARIA SOUND CARD. (WARP)

  3. DESCRIPTION OF SYMPTOMS:
  4.     The APTIVA machines 530 (2144-66P) & 730 (2144-86P).
  5.     The ARIA soundcard needs the promethieus driver for OS/2 and
  6.     it will not be available till 1995.  The main symptoms
  7.     that the user will see is:
  8.     1. No sound under OS/2.
  9.     2. Windows seamless applications open but disappear and are
  10.        not in the task list.
  11.  
  12. DETAILS OF RESOLUTION:
  13.     If the machines equipped with this soundcard (ARIA), the
  14.     sound MUST be disabled.  User must do the following:
  15.     1. Go into fullscreen Windows Program Manager
  16.     2. Open the "Control Panel" folder
  17.     3. Start the "Drivers" program
  18.     4. Remove the two ARIA drivers
  19.     5. Exit Windows
  20.  
  21.     The applications should run seamlessly now
