Please Read Entire Document for Full Explanation of Procedures
----------------------------------------------------------------
METHOD 1: SETVGA USING THE MAINTENANCE DESK

If you are installing OS/2:
It is recommeded the video be set in VGA mode, 8 bit slot or mode
if possible, and 640 X 480 resolution. If you have autosensing,
disable it during the installation.
If you have a video card using a utility for the video, use the
utility first to set the video back to VGA.
To set your system back to VGA in OS/2:
1. Turn the computer. If the computer is already on, press
Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart it.
2. When a small white box appears in the upper left
corner of the screen, press Alt+F1.
3. When the Recovery Choices acreen appears, press V.
NOTE: The display adapter is restored to VGA mode. If
the procedure does not work the first time, it may
be necessary to go through the procedure twice.
4. When the process is done, restart the system and continue
with the installation.
If you want to install a new adapter or video device driver,
complete the steps on page 233 in the Users Guide.
METHOD 2: RSPDSPI
----------------------------------------------------------------
Use this procedure, instead of the SETVGA command, if you need to
return to VGA mode. Follow the steps after starting OS/2 from
the Installation Diskette and pressing Esc to go to the command
prompt.

NOTE: If any of the above methods are unsuccessful,
check your hard disk for the following files. If these
files are not on your hard disk, unpack them from
Display Driver Diskette 1, items B & C are in VGA, a
bundled file.
A. IBMVGA32.DLL 26164 10-04-94
B. IBMDEV32.DLL 82904 9-23-94
C. BVHVGA.DLL 31054 10-09-94
D. DISPLAY.DLL 38288 9-23-94
Place the diskette in A: drive and type:

\OS2\UNPACK A:\VGA and press Enter
From Display Diskette 1, type:
X:\OS2\UNPACK A:\VGA /N:IBMDEV32.DLL
and press Enter
This puts files on your hard disk in \OS2\DLL subdirectory.
Type the same command for BVHVGA.DLL to put the in the \OS2\DLL
subdirectory.
Use a text editor to check the CONFIG.SYS file on your hard
disk for the following statements:
DEVINFO=SCR,VGA,X:\OS2\VIOTBL.DCP
SET VIDEO_DEVICES=VIO_VGA
SET VIO_VGA=DEVICE(BVHVGA)
DEVICE=X:\OS2\MDOS\VVGA.SYS
You can configure for SVGA if the video adapter supports higher
resolutions. Contact the vendor of video card to ensure you
have the correct and latest drivers, and resolution is compatible
in OS/2. If you have a utility or a set-up program for your
video, follow those instructions first.
The instructions for changing the video to SVGA are in "Users
Guide", Chapter 16, pages 230-242.
To enable SVGA in WIN-OS/2, refer to "Users Guide, Chapter 16,
pages 235-238.
