  7. Error message COUNTRY.SYS on diskette #1 while trying to install

  11. Installing on TI Notebooks (TI4000/30, /40/& 50's.)
  12. =============================================================
  13. SYMPTON: Error Message:  COUNTRY.SYS on diskette #1 while
  14.          installing OS/2
  15.  
  16. WORKAROUND:  It is recommended the following settings in
  17.              Advanced Options be changed while installing.
  18.  
  19. Workaround changes for the TI notebook/Laptops is as follows:
  20.  
  21. Go to CMOS Advanced settings:
  22.  
  23.  1: Power Savings=Off
  24.  2: Time Out Interval=On
  25.  3: HDmotor Timeout=On
  26.  4: LCD Power=Low
  27.  5: Advanced OS Power=Off
  28.  6: External cache=Off
  29.  7: Turbo=Off.
  30.  
  31. **Note: All settings can be set back to normal after the
  32.         installation has completed.
  33.  
  34.         The Power savings switch in the TI4000/33 is not
  35.         compatible with OS2 2.1 Power management software,
  36.         and should not be used.
