SYS1059 ERROR MESSAGE WHEN USING PEN FOR OS/2 WARP

SYMPTOM:
Receiving a SYS1059 Error Message.
RESOLUTION:
The system cannot run the specified program. You must
apply a fix to the Pen installation program.
PROCEDURE:
1. Install the PATCH utilities:
A. Select OS/2 System.
B. Select System Setup.
C. Select Selective Install.
D. Select OK on the System Configuration window.
E. Select Serviceability and Diagnostics Aids.
F. Select Install from the OS/2 Setup and
Installation window and follow the instructions
on the screen.
2. There are two methods for applying the fix for the Pen for
OS/2 installation program. Select the method for your
situation.
Method 1: Reinstalling Pen for OS/2:
1. Copy the PEN.DAT file that is located in the
\DISK10 directory where Pen for OS/2 installed.
2. Change to the drive and directory where Pen for OS/2
installed. At an OS/2 command prompt, type:
PATCH PEN.DAT /A and press Enter.
3. Install Pen for OS/2.
Method 2: Installing Pen for OS/2 for the first time:
1. Copy the PEN.DAT file that is located in the
\DISK10 directory on the OS/2 CD-ROM, to the
Pen for OS/2 Diskette 1.
2. Insert the Pen for OS/2 Diskette 1 into drive A.
3. From an OS/2 command prompt, go to drive A,
and type:
PATCH PEN.DAT /A and press Enter.
NOTE: A message appears confirming that the fix
is applied.
4. Install Pen for OS/2.
