  5. DESCRIPTION OF SYMPTOMS:
  6.     Clarification on PC LAN Program (PCLP) and LAN Support Program
  7.     (LSP) upgrades.
  8.  
  9. SUMMARY OF RESOLUTION:
  10.     The latest version of PCLP is Version 1.34.  The latest version
  11.     of LSP is Version 1.35, but this version is not supported for
  12.     NDIS drivers or RIPL with PCLP.  The latest version of LSP
  13.     supported for RIPL from PCLP is Version 1.27.  To upgrade to
  14.     the latest supported versions of PCLP and LSP, follow the
  15.     procedures below.

  17. DETAILS OF RESOLUTION:
  18.     1.  Procedure to upgrade to PCLP Version 1.34.
  19.  
  20.         NOTE:  The step preceded by an asterisk (*) in the following
  21.         section does not need to be performed if the Corrective
  22.         Service Diskette, CSD, is being applied directly to the
  23.         machine running PCLP.  If the CSD is being applied to the
  24.         installation diskettes, this procedure must be performed.

  28.             1)  Install PCLP Version 1.34   (Purchase from IBM)
  29.             2)  Install APAR IC03039

  72.                     NOTE:  LSP 1.35 MUST be installed if IP07045 is
  73.                            installed on the server.

  75.     4.  The only level of PCLP and LSP with full IBM software support
  76.         is PCLP Version 1.3x with LSP Version 1.27.
  77.  
  78.     5.  PCLP Version 1.34 with LSP Version 1.35 is supported by IBM
  79.         software support if RIPL or NDIS support is not used.
  80.  
  81.     6.  PCLP Version 1.34 and LSP Version 1.3 can be purchased from
  82.         your IBM sales representative or by calling 1-800-IBM-CALL.
  83.         The part number for PCLP 1.34 is 84X0076.  The part number
  84.         for LSP 1.3 is 93F2456.

  86.     7.  APARs and CSDs can be received in the United States by calling
  87.         IBM Software Support (1-800-992-4777).  CSDs IP00249 and
  88.         IP00755 can be downloaded from the OS2BBS.
  89.  
  90.     8.  PCLP running on MSDOS or non-IBM equipment is not supported.
