  28. | 1. 11/24/92                                                 |
  29. |    TRANS010 - Listed below are various possible causes      |
  30. |               and solutions to the TRANS010 error.          |
  31. |                                                             |
  32. |  a. IND$FILE is not at the correct level. To determine      |
  33. |     whether IND$FILE is at the correct level. At the host   |
  34. |     prompt type IND$FILE. If you get a panel stating the    |
  35. |     program and version, the level is fine, if nothing,     |
  36. |     then IND$FILE is downlevel. The correct level for       |
  37. |     IND$FILE IS 1.1.1. Until PC FILE TRANSFER can be        |
  38. |     upgraded on the host, set BUFFERSIZE OVERRIDE=2K.       |
  39. |     ADVANCED > CONFIGURATION > 3270 FEATURE PROFILES        |
  40. |                                                             |
  41. |  b. A TRANS010 can also imply that the SEND/RECEIVE syntax  |
  42. |     is wrong. Refer to the Command Reference publication    |
  43. |     or the OS/2 Online Help.                                |
  44. |                                                             |
  45. |  c. Recreate the failure and jump to the host session.      |
  46. |     Is the cursor in the lower right hand corner of the     |
  47. |     screen? This placement of the cursor indicates that     |
  48. |     the query bit, extended data streaming is not on.       |
  49. |     The PSERVIC statement has been defined incorrectly      |
  50. |     in the VTAM logmode table. In an LU2 environment,       |
  51. |     the 3rd character in the PSERVIC statement should       |
  52. |     be an eight(8).                                         |
  53. |                                                             |
  54. |  d. TRANS010 on file transfer to/from MVS/TSO host.         |
  55. |     When performing a file transfer with a MVS/TSO host     |
  56. |     it is very important that the host session be at a      |
  57. |     TSO READY prompt. ISPF/PDF or TSO Session Manager       |
  58. |     cannot be running.                                      |
  59. |                                                             |
  60. |  e. TRANS010 and keyboard locked in the middle of file      |
  61. |     transfer. Problem occurs when the one is in a           |
  62. |     protected screen application on the host session, a     |
  63. |     clear is issued prior to the IND$FILE command which     |
  64. |     resets the cursor location in the host session. In      |
  65. |     some cases, this problem can be caused by a field       |
  66. |     that is too small for the file transfer to process      |
  67. |     a command on the host. One should enlarge the           |
  68. |     unprotected space or use native TSO,CMS,etc...          |
  69. |                                                             |
  70. |  f. TRANS010 on file transfer to/from VSE/CICS host.        |
  71. |     Verify that the ptf for VSE apar PN01653 is applied     |
  72. |     on the host. The VSE equivalent to IND$FILE is          |
  73. |     INWPCCOM and apar PN01653 modified it. For further      |

  84. |    TRANS013                                                 |
  85. |     The problem may be that the BUFFER SIZE OVERRIDE        |
  86. |     is incorrect. Try 2K, if left to the default of         |
  87. |     zero, CM will try to compute a default. To              |

  112. |     in C programs (Reference JR01104).                      |
  113. |     One may create their own code page. See the System      |

  125. |     Customer changed the PSERVIC as described in the        |

  128. |                                                             |
  129. |     Another solution is to change the 3270 profile          |
  130. |     Data Buffer from '0' to '2K' bytes.                     |
  131. |                                                             |
  132. |  6. 04/27/93                                                |
  133. |     Transferring files to a CICS host (MVS):  CICS requires |
  134. |     that the data transfer buffer size override be set to   |
  135. |     2K.  Otherwise, some files will be corrupted.  Customer |
  136. |     reported that he received no msgs, but he did notice    |
