  5.        TITLE:  THE "a" SYMBOL IS DISPLAYED WHEN SELECTIVELY
  6.        INSTALLING DRIVERS FOR DUAL DISPLAY.

  8.        DESCRIPTION OF SYMPTOMS:
  9.  
  10.        The "a" symbol is displayed when selective install is
  11.        supposed to prompt you for a display driver diskette during
  12.        the install of drivers for dual display.
  13.  
  14.        SUMMARY OF RESOLUTION:
  15.  
  16.        Edit the files PSMONO.DSC in the install directory and
  17.        PSMONO.DSP on display driver diskette 1.
  18.  
  19.        DETAILS OF RESOLUTION:
  20.  
  21.        1. Open an OS2 fullscreen session.
  22.        2. Change to the os2\install directory.
  23.        3. Edit the file called PSMONO.DSC by typing "e
  24.        psmono.dsc" at the command prompt.
  25.        4. Look for the following line and change it from:
  26.  
  27.        a1 to "Display Driver Diskette 1"
  28.  
  29.        note:  be sure to include the quotation marks when you make
  30.        the change.
  31.        5. Save the file.
  32.        6. Insert display driver diskette 1 into drive A:
  33.        and switch to the A: drive.
  34.        7. Edit the file called PSMONO.DSP and change the
  35.        following:
  36.  
  37.        SET VIDEO_DEVICES = VIO_MPA,VIO_%PRI% to SET VIDEO_DEVICES
  38.        = VIO_%PRI%,VIO_MPA
  39.  
  40.        8. Save the file, reboot, and retry selective install.
