Check to see that the device driver is in the correct directory
If you get an error when booting up that says the system cannot find
the Network Interface Card (NIC) device driver file for your adapter,
then you should first verify that file is in the correct directory.
It should match the path given in the device line in the CONFIG.SYS
file (which is usually the NETWARE subdirectory).
**************
Make sure you are using the correct driver for your adapter card
If you still get an error about the device driver file when booting
up, check the device driver. Make sure that it is the right driver
to be using with the adapter card that is in your machine. Most
adapter cards ship with a device driver diskette.
If you are not sure whether you have the right driver, call the vendor
of your adapter card and ask about which device driver the card needs.
The following is a partial list of device drivers that come with the
NetWare Client for OS/2 and the adapter cards that correspond to
these drivers. Some of these drivers have been updated since the
time the requester diskettes came out, so you may need to get a newer
version from the vendor of the card.
If a device driver for your Network Interface Card (NIC) is not
included with the NetWare Client for OS/2, then please check the
options diskette that came with the NIC for the proper driver, or
call the vendor of your NIC for information about getting the proper
driver.

Check the NET.CFG file
If you continue to get the same error messages when booting up, then
your NET.CFG file probably does not contain the proper settings for
the driver. If something is not listed in the NET.CFG file or if you
do not have a NET.CFG file, then you are using the default settings
and may need to change them (or create a NET.CFG file with the correct
settings). Be sure to include the proper hardware settings (int, port
mem, ...) in the Link Driver section of the file. For more information
about the options and settings in the NET.CFG, see the NetWare
Workstation for OS/2 reference manual that came with your NetWare
Client for OS/2.
