  1. LICENSE AGREEMENT
  2.  
  3. This license agreement covers your use of the iMatix XITAMI web
  4. server, its source code, documentation, and executable files,
  5. hereinafter referred to as "the Product".
  6.  
  7. The Product is Copyright (c) 1991-97 iMatix.  You may use it and
  8. distribute it according to this following License Agreement.  If
  9. you do not agree with these terms, please remove the Product from
  10. your system.  By incorporating the Product in your work or
  11. distributing the Product to others you implicitly agree to these
  12. license terms.
  13.  
  14. This License Agreement covers the current version of The Product.
  15. iMatix reserves the right to modify the terms of this License
  16. Agreement at any moment, and without prior notification, in future
  17. releases of The Product.
  18.  
  19. STATEMENT OF COPYRIGHT
  20.  
  21. The Product is, and remains, copyright 1991-97 iMatix, with
  22. exception of specific copyrights as noted in the individual source
  23. files.
  24.  
  25. CONDITIONS OF USE
  26.  
  27. The Product is provided in two forms: as a ready-to-run installation
  28. kit consisting of executable programs, help files, etc. (the "Product
  29. Executable") and as a package of source files, the "Product Sources".
  30.  
  31. You may freely use and distribute the Product Executable so long as
  32. you provide the complete and unmodified original Product Executable
  33. installation kit as supplied by iMatix.
  34.  
  35. The Product Sources fall under the License Agreement for the iMatix
  36. SMT product.  The applicable terms and conditions are repeated here.
  37.  
  38. You may freely and at no cost use the Product Sources in any project,
  39. commercial, academic, military, governmental, or private, so long as
  40. you respect the License Agreement.  The License Agreement does not
  41. affect any software except the Product.  In particular, any
  42. application that uses the Product does not itself fall under the
  43. License Agreement.

  45. You may modify any part of the Product, including sources and
  46. documentation, except this License Agreement, which you may not
  47. modify.
  48.  
  49. You must clearly indicate any modifications at the start of each
  50. source file.  The user of any modified Product code must know that
  51. the source file is not original.
  52.  
  53. At your discretion, you may rewrite or reuse any part of the
  54. Product so that your derived code is not obviously part of the
  55. Product.  This derived code does not fall under the Product
  56. License Agreement directly, but you must include a credit at the
  57. start of each source file indicating the original authorship and
  58. source of the code, and a statement of copyright as follows:

  60.     "Parts copyright (c) 1991-97 iMatix."
  61.  
  62. You do not need to provide the source code for the Product as part
  63. of your product.  However, you must do one of these things to
  64. comply with the Product License Agreement:
  65.  
  66. 1.  Provide the source code for Product modules that you use, or
  67.  
  68. 2.  Make your product freely available according to a license
  69.     similar to the GNU General Public License, or the Perl
  70.     Artistic License, or
  71.  
  72. 3.  Add this phrase to the documentation for your product:
  73.     "This product uses parts of the SMT Kernel, Copyright (c)
  74.     1991-97 iMatix <http://www.imatix.com>".

  76. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY
  77.  
  78. The Product is provided as free software, in the hope that it will
  79. be useful.  It is provided "as-is", without warranty of any kind,
  80. either expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, the
  81. implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular
  82. purpose.  The entire risk as to the quality and performance of the
  83. Product is with you.  Should the Product prove defective, the full
  84. cost of repair, servicing, or correction lies with you.

  88. Limited technical support can be had from support@imatix.com.  Full
  89. guaranteed technical support is subject to an iMatix support license:
  90. current prices and conditions are shown on the imatix.com website.

  92. OTHER LICENSING CONDITIONS
  93.  
  94. For commercial distributors, other licensing conditions may be
  95. negotiated with respect to technical support and redistribution
  96. rights.
