  1. Welcome to Time-In!
  2.  
  3. The program is very simple.  It will ping a single host
  4. every 5 seconds and return the ping time. It's great for keeping
  5. that connection from timing out!
  6.  
  7. This program requires TCP/IP be installed. If it is not installed, this program
  8. will not function. To install TCP/IP, if it is not already installed, use OS/2's
  9. 'Selective Install' in the 'Install/Remove' folder in the 'System Setup'
  10. folder for OS/2 version 4, and 'Selective Install' in the 'System Setup' for
  11. OS/2 version 3.

  13. To begin:
  14.  
  15. 1. Run timein.exe.
  16. 2. Enter the IP of the host you wish to ping.
  17.     Note: it will *not* take host names ( i.e. www.somehost.com )
  18. 3. Press the 'Ping' button.
  19.  
  20. The program will ping that host until it is closed.
  21.  
  22. This version is freeware, but if you wish to register for a small fee of $5.00,
  23. I will send you the more featured version. That one will include:
  24.  
  25.     Starting/Stoping of the pinging
  26.     Command line parameters for instant pinging
  27.     Ability to set how long between each ping
  28.     Ability to use hostnames ( i.e. www.host.com )
  29.     
  30.     Also, if people will use it, I may add the ability to ping
  31.         multiple hosts and start and stop each one and for the 
  32.         program to remember all host for the next time you start
  33.         the application.
