  17.    1. ABOUT PORTFOLIO

  20.    This is the Version 1.x of the multi purpose info monitor StockTray.  
  21.  
  22.    StockTray is a program that obtains stock quotes from free sources 
  23.    on the internet and displays them in a compact form on your desktop.  
  24.    You can use it to monitor stock prices that you are interested in 
  25.    and even monitor the value of your portfolio in real time.
  26.  
  27.    The program automatically switches between English and German 
  28.    language, depending on your system's settings (under Windows 95
  29.    this is the same language as Windows, under Windows NT it is the
  30.    Regional setting in the Control Panel).

  32.    The program can be tested for 30 days.  During that time you have
  33.    to press an OK button every hour.  After that time it must be either
  34.    purchased or deleted.  Order and purchase informations can be found
  35.    in the help menu and in the separate order application.

  40.    2. DISTRIBUTION, COPYRIGHT

  43.    StockTray is (C) 1999 by EmTec, Markus Schmidt

  45.    This is a license summary -- see the license information in the 
  46.    setup program for details.

  48.    You may use and test the program for 30 days in evaluation mode. 
  49.    Then you have to order a license code or remove it from your system.

  51.    No warranty of any kind can be given for damage caused through StockTray
  52.    directly or indirectly or any other way.

  54.    The evaluation version of StockTray may be distributed freely via tele-
  55.    communication, shareware dealers or as a free add on for hard- or 
  56.    software products in form of an unmodified ZIP archive, or as 
  57.    unzipped files in an single directory with the name beginning with
  58.    "StockTray" and with no file added, removed or modified.

  60.    The following restrictions apply to distribution.

  62.     * StockTray must not be used in an army environment or for purposes 
  63.       that are related to the military or to arms production.
  64.  
  65.     * StockTray may be included into shareware CDs if the ZIP file is
  66.       left intact or if all files from the ZIP file are provided
  67.       in a single directory the name of which begins with StockTray. 
  68.       Two copies of the CD must be sent to EmTec, Markus Schmidt
  69.       (address below).

  71.     * An evaluation copy of StockTray must not be sold for more than 
  72.       $5/DM 7 (that includes shipping). If you purchased StockTray from a 
  73.       dealer paying more (or get knowledge of such a dealer), please
  74.       notify him of this regulation.

  82.    To install StockTray just type SETUP at a command prompt. The windowed
  83.    install program will handle the rest.

  85.    If you encounter problems of any kind, please try to install StockTray 
  86.    into a fresh directory.

  88.    Note: StockTray should not be installed over an existing beta version 
  89.    of StockTray.
