  11. This is the <em>simple mode</em> <b>SRE-http</b> configuration utility.
  12. It provides an easy means of modifying and changing the more important
  13. <b>SRE-http</b> options. Experienced users may wish to use the more powerful
  14. (but less well documented) <A HREF="/config2b.htm">intermediate mode configurator</A>.

  17. <STRONG>Technical note:</STRONG> <blockquote>For this configurator to work, you must have installed SRE-http as your
  18. GoServe filter, and GoServe must be running. By default, SRE-http permits
  19. remote configuration (provided the client has SUPERUSER privileges).
  20. If you are very security conscious, you can disable remote configuration
  21. (and permit configuration only from the server) -- <em> for details, see
  22. the description of the NO_REMOTE_CONFIG parameter in INITFILT.DOC </em></blockquote>

  43. These two <b>host</b> options are used only if you have a multi-host server. If you
  44. are running a <STRONG>single host server, you can ignore them</STRONG>.
