-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
The RSA Data Security, Inc. "MD5 Message-Digest Algorithm"
"The algorithm takes as input an input message of arbitrary length and
produces as output a 128-bit "fingerprint" or "message digest" of the
input. It is conjectured that it is computationally infeasible to
produce two messages having the same message digest, or to produce
any message having a given prespecified target message digest. The
MD5 algorithm is intended for digital signature applications, where a
large file must be "compressed" in a secure manner before being
encrypted with a private (secret) key under a public-key cryptosystem
such as RSA." (from 'md5.doc')
The executable contained in the archive was compiled on 09/29/94 by
"Ralf G. R. Bergs" <rabe@RWTH-Aachen.DE> using the
emx 0.8h development system. It needs the two DLLs 'EMXLIBC.DLL'
and 'EMX.DLL', available thru the usual sources. I didn't do
any (thorough) test (apart from some quick "md5 foobar" checks), but
it seems to work. BTW, you can use Unix-style wildcards on the
command line.
Both the executable and this readme contain my PGP signature. My
public key is available from the well-known key-servers, from my
WWW page (http://www-users.informatik.rwth-aachen.de/~rabe), and
by fingering rabe@messua.informatik.rwth-aachen.de.
