  1.  
  2. Simple set of programs to monitor a com port running os/2 tcp/ip and
  3. slip. If carrier is lost, the programs will kill slip.exe if running,
  4. and restart slip.exe. The program assumes running slip.exe will
  5. re-start your slip connection, i.e slip.cfg is setup o.k.
  6.  
  7. Use chk_loop.cmd if you dont use cron on your system ; edit the
  8. command file and configure the com port and delay as required.
  9.  
  10. Use chk_once.cmd in conjunction with cron ; edit it and configure
  11. the com port as required.
  12.  
  13. I'm told this procedure doesn't work well with sio ( com.sys replacement), 
  14. since sio doesnt release the port on hangup. 
  15.  
  16. Two parts of other programs are included here ( go.doc and go.exe
  17. by Carsten Wimmer, and rxasync by Ian Timms). Their programs did most
  18. of the work.
