  1.    This is the latest version of QadHTML as of the 19th June 1995.
  2. If you want to look for the latest version you can do so by the WWW
  3. (http://www.magi.com/~mcharet/).  This version is a BETA test.  This
  4. means that you have to be especially careful with your data files.  We
  5. have take all the precautions that we can but errors can happen.  We
  6. are using this software for our own business (this is to reassure 
  7. you).

  9.    In this package you should have these files:

  11.       QadHTML.exe    The program itself.
  12.       vrobj.dll      The DLL needed to execute QadHTML.exe
  13.                        (not in the upgrade package)
  14.       QadHTML.ico    The icon for the program
  15.       QadHTML.hlp    The online help file (not finished)
  16.       preview.vrx    The rexx command file to start the WebExplorer
  17.                      in preview mode
  18.       Install.exe    Program to install QadHTML
  19.       Install.ico    Icon for the installation program
  20.       install.txt    Text file explaining the installation (if you
  21.                      do not use the install program or have problems)
  22.       *.bmp          The icons for the program toolbar.
  23.       *.htm          The template files included with QadHTML.
  24.       file_id.diz    File to help BBS classified this program
  25.       readme.txt     This file.
  26.       sc.qad         Text file with all the Latin-1 code (and more)

  28.    The only requirements of the program are that you have the 
  29. vrobj.dll file in your LIBPATH (config.sys), the QadHTML.ini and
  30. sc.qad files in the working directory. The .\icon\ directory should be
  31. under the directory where QadHTML.exe is if you want icons in your
  32. program. The install program should take care of everything except to
  33. make sure that vrobj.dll is in your libpath.

  35.    This program was tested on 2 systems.  A Pentium-90 32 Mb RAM with
  36. Warp fullpack and a 486-DX2-66 16 Mb RAM with OS/2 2.1.

  46.    If you want to use the program for more than 25 days you have to
  47. register with Qad Software.  The program cost $20CDN or $15US.  You
  48. can send cheque from both currencies.  We are accepting Visa, Amex
  49. and MasterCard. The credit cards transactions are handled by a
  50. third party and are charged in $CDN.

  52.    Everyone that will register in the beta program will receive a manual
  53. (printed) and a diskette when the gold code will be available. This will
  54. be an option after the release of the gold code.

  56.    There is also a distribution list for QadHTML. If you want to receive
  57. news about update of QadHTML please send us an email message asking to be
  58. added to the QadHTML distribution list. This operation is done manually
  59. (please give us one day to update the information).

  62. 0.1   Initial release to the public.

  64. 0.2   In this release we added better support for inline and external
  65.       image by providing a dialog box to help you enter the 
  66.       information.

  68. 0.3   This release mark the beginning of user's requests. New features
  69.       were added to help you do a better job.
  70.       -Icons are all bitmaps: it should fix the problem of empty
  71.          toolbar.
  72.       -Online help has been added (small).
  73.       -Support for different font size in an HTML document.

  75.       -Better handling of new file and opening already existing files.
  76.       -Will ask to save file when using Exit under the File Menu.

  112.        the file you were going to open with the file that you last worked on
  113.        if you were saying yes to save the changes.

  116.       -Feature: the toolbar can be visible or invisible and you can 
  117.          select where you are going to see it (Left Right Top Bottom)
  118.       -Feature: the Latin-1 character set as been fully implemented
  119.       -Bug fix: if you want to preview and do not save the file (this 
  120.          apply to new file only) you will not get an empty screen in 
  121.          the WebExplorer.
  122.       -Bug fix: removed the dieresis accent from the list.
