  4. There is an installation program provided with this version. It will create a 
  5. directory and put all the file in that directory (and sub-directories). You 
  6. should make sure that the directory is in your libpath or that you have the 
  7. current directory specified in your libpath. If you are not familiar with this 
  8. terminology then you should try the program and if that does not work move the 
  9. file vrobj.dll in c:\os2\dll (where c: is the drive where OS/2 is installed).

  11. If you ever wish to delete QadHTML you just have to erase the directory where 
  12. you have installed it. If you have moved the file vrobj.dll somewhere else 
  13. please delete it. Delete the program object vreated on your desktop and your 
  14. clean up will be perfect. 
  15.  
  16. QadHTML does not modify anything in your config.sys or OS2*.INI. This program 
  17. is very easy to clean from your hard disk. That is why there is no uninstall 
  18. program with this version.

  23. In this section you will have explanation on what does every menu in QadHTML. 
  24. Some menu are obvious but some other are more obscur.  The pull down menus are:

  34. In the File menu you will find:

  48. Under this sub-meu you will find a few options. The first sub-menu will always 
  49. be blank. This option will erase everything you have in the HTML window code. 
  50. You will have a blank file. 
  51.  
  52. The 10 next sub-menus are files that you designated as templates. You can 
  53. change the order and their name by clicking on the options menu. When you click 
  54. on one of these sub-menus the HTML window code will be replaced by the content 
  55. of this template. If you have not saved the latest changes in the current file 
  56. you will be asked if you want to do so.

  58. You can also click on the other sub-menu if you would like to load an other 
  59. file as a template.

  64. This sub-menu will ask you for the name of the file to open. QadHTML will make 
  65. sure that the latest version of the file you are working on is saved. If it is 
  66. not the case QadHTML will prompt you to save the latest changes or to discard 
  67. them.

  70. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 2.1.3. Save as... ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

  72. This sub-menu is to save your HTML file under a new name or a new destination. 
  73. You can choose to replace an existing file or create a new one for the latest 
  74. version of your HTML file.

  76. By default it will suggest you to save your file with an extension of *.HTM*. 
  77. You do not have to save your file with this extension but it is much easier to 
  78. recognize your file if you use that extension. If your hard disk is formated 
  79. with the FAT you will be able to use the *.HTM extension. If your hard disk is 
  80. formated with HPFS you can use the *.HTML extension (which is better).

  82. By using the *.htm* extension you will allow QadHTML to be linked to your file. 
  83. You will be able to have the option to open that file with QadHTML.

  86. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 2.1.4. Save ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

  88. This sub-menu will be available as soon as your file as a name. When you will 
  89. open an existing file or you already have used the Save as... sub-menu this one 
  90. will be enabled. You can use this sub-menu to avoid renaming your file. It is 
  91. much faster than using the Save as... sub-menu to replace your current file.

  96. These five sub-menu are FastLoad menus. You can configure them in the option 
  97. menu. This enables you to load you most used files faster. You do not need to 
  98. open the file by entering the path and the filename or by browsing with the 
  99. file open dialog. You tell FastLoad which file you want to be placed in these 
  100. sub-menus and you can load them fast without any typing.

  103. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 2.1.6. Import ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

  105. This sub-menu will let you import any text file inside your current document. 
  106. It will only ask for the filename and then tries to insert it in the HTML 
  107. window code. No validation will be done.

  112. This sub-menu allows you to use the Web Explorer as the preview tool. You can 
  113. see the result of your work before making your HTML file on the Internet.

  118. This sub-menu will close QadHTML. It will ask you to save your file if you 
  119. changed something since the last save.

  135. This option will undo the last action that you did in the HTML code window. As 
  136. soon as you change anything in the HTML window you eill not be able to undo the

  142. When text is selected you can copy that text in the clipboard to paste it in an 
  143. other application or somewhere else in your HTML code.

  148. When text is selected and you cut it it will copy that selection in the 
  149. clipboard and destroy the original text. You can the paste it in an other 
  150. application or somewhere else in your HTML code.

  155. By pasting you will insert text in the HTML window. The text will be from the 
  156. clipboard. If the clipboard as something else than text it will not work. Only 
  157. text can be inserted in the HTML window.

  162. This sub-menu will bring you a window where you can enter the text you want to 
  163. find and/or replace.

  165. The first entry filed is asking you for the text that you want to find in the 
  166. HTML document that you have loaded. You can enter a string as long as you want 
  167. with spaces. 
  168.  
  169. The second entry filed is optional. There you can specify the text that will 
  170. replace the text found according to the first entry field. If you leave that 
  171. entry field empty the system will be used to search only. 
  172.  
  173. Then you have two options. The first one is to let the search engine start its 
  174. search from the beginning of the document. Otherwise (unchecked) the search 
  175. engine will start from where you are in the document. The second option will 
  176. make the find button act as if you pressed the find and replace button. It will 
  177. search the text and replce it immediately.

  179. The four push button should be obvious to learn. The first one will start your 
  180. search or continue to find the text asked for. The second one (replace) is 
  181. enabled when the text is find and that you have some text in the replace entry 
  182. field. By clicking on the Replace push button you will cause the found text to 
  183. be replaced by the new one. The Replace all puch button will find and replace 
  184. all the occurences of the specified text. There will be no prompt for that 
  185. action. The Close push button is to close the window when the work is finished.

  325. text appear as the title or sub-title (6 levels) of the text following.

  330. This icon will bring a window where you have to fill the missing information to 
  331. generate the tag. This tag has a caption that is the word(s) that you are going 
  332. to see in the HTML document. The tag also has the anchor itself. The anchor is 
  333. the file that will loaded when the caption is clicked. The anchor could also be 
  334. in the current file. For more explanation look at the tutorial or on the WWW 
  335. there is a few web page that can explain you many tags.

  362. This program is shareware. This means that you are allowed to use QadHTML for a 
  363. period of 30 days. After that period you have to register if you want to use 
  364. this software. It costs $15.00US or $20.00CDN to register QadHTML for life. You 
  365. can send check or money order by snail mail. It can be in US or CDN funds. Qad 
  366. Software is presently looking for credit card registration. You can ask for it 
  367. by email.
