This package is designed to convert Post Road Mailer folders to Netscape
Communicator folders. The basic conversion program is written entirely
in Java. This package requires that you have Java 1.1.6 or later installed
for OS/2. It might run with Java 1.1.1, but I have no way of testing it. This
program will NOT run with Java 1.0.2 or earlier.
To convert the main inbox file to Netscape, use the following command:
Convert x:\post30\myfolder x:\Netscape40\users\myname\Mail\Inbox
This will convert all of the *.POP files in Post Road Mailer to the
Netscape Communicator format. Note that it will overwrite any existing
email in your Netscape folder. If you do not want to override any of your
existing netscape mail, then you will need to place the output into a Netscape
folder.
To convert folders or to place your Post Road Mailer inbox in a Netscape folder
you must do the following:
1. Create a new mail folder in Netscape Mail.
2. Look under \Netscape40\users\myname\Mail\INBOX.sbd\ for a file name
resembling your new folder name.
3. Find the folder under \post30\myname\ that contains all of the
.POP files (or use \post30\myname for your main inbox).
4. Run
Convert \post30\myname\myfolder \Netscape40\users\myname\Mail\INBOX.sbd\myfolder
Close Netscape mail and reopen the mail.
Now you should see all of your email in your Netscape folder.
If you do not want to overwrite any of your existing mail in a Netscape folder,
then you will need to add the "-a" parameter to the end of the Convert command line.
