Portwin is a PM button gadget which allows users of UUPC/Extended
who devote a COM port some or most of the time to accepting
UUCP connections from other machines, to monitor and control the port.
Portwin provides a color-coded button for the specified COM port;
red if unavailable (allocated to uucico), green if available, blue
if slip.exe or ppp.exe is running.
Pressing the button toggles the state of the port; i.e., suspends
or resumes the use of the port by uucico.
(A modification to this scheme would be displaying blue when SL/IP
has the port).
The port is specifiable via the initialization dialog. The dialog
is only displayed when no portwin.ini file exists in the directory
containing portwin.exe. Delete the portwin.ini file to re-specify.
A 'Log' button is provided to invoke your favorite list/edit/browse
program for a specified file (perhaps your mail log or uucico.log).
A 'Spool' button is provided to display a listbox with the current
(waiting to be sent) files in the UUPC spool. Hilighting an entry
an pressing 'delete' will remove this file from the spool.
That's all. I wrote this first in VX-REXX, but it was so slowwww
and large!
