  1. NcFTP v2.3.0 will work with a firewall, gateway or a system that utilizes
  2. ip masquerading.  To insure NcFTP functions properly, do the following:

  4. In 'prefs', set Default FTP mode to:

  6.     Passive, but fall back to port if needed 
  7.  
  8.                 or
  9.  
  10.     Passive FTP only (PASV)
  11.  
  12. If you experience timeouts, increase the network timeout field in prefs.
  13.  
  14.     Network timeout:        60
  15.  
  16. Also, insure the remote host can handle PASV commands and that option is 
  17. set to yes in the bookmarks editor:

  19.     Can use passive FTP:    Yes
