  10. MailBiff is a shareware OS/2 Warp WPS aware mail notification utility.
  11.  
  12. This document explains how to install MailBiff. It explains command line
  13. syntaxes and how to get the program(s) running. A separate document
  14. (order.frm) tells you how to register MailBiff.
  15.  
  16. Caution you can not edit this Rexx command! If you do it will be disabled!
  17.

  22. MailBiff 1.01 installation instructions:

  25.    1. Unpack the MB*.ZIP archive in a private directory (UNZIP.EXE
  26.       works nicely).  MB 1.0 requires its own home directory (FAT or
  27.       HPFS, doesn't matter).
  28.  
  29.   2.  Run the provided MBCREATE.CMD (a simple REXX program) in that
  30.       directory to build a WPS object for each POP3 mail server you have.
  31.  
  32.   3.  Double click on the new icon to start it.
  33.  
  34. Prerequisites
  35. ==============
  36. You must have the rxsock.dll from the iak or Warp COnnect for this utility
  37. to execute.

  39. Command line Parms
  40. ==================
  41. -server < name of pop3 server >
  42. -user < your userid >
  43. -pass < your password >
  44. -refresh < how often to check for mail in seconds >
  45. -wps will cause the wps icon to be changed to reflect the mail count
  46. -detach will prevent the vio text window from displaying and will produce mb.log
  47.  
  48. Caution when you are testing your paramters from the command line do not include
  49. the -wps switch if you do the wps icon for the command prompt will be changed!!

  51. MailBiff isn't free, it's shareware:

  54. To register MailBiff, fill out REGISTER.TXT and send to the mailing address
  55. listed in it, together with the purchase price. Registration allows this program
  56. to function more than 30 days after the initial installation. And provides a discount
  57. on future registered versions.

  60.    - .wav file support
  61.    - user specified icons
  62.    - other mail protocols i.e. VIM, MAPI, SMTP, etc.
