  3. README.NEW for LOGIN.EXE, PASSWD.EXE, and CNVTUNIX.EXE

  6. This version fixes a major problem with the initial release involving TelnetD
  7. timeouts. With this update, the problem should no longer occur.
  8.  
  9. There is a NEW INSTALLATION PROCEDURE for this release. It CANNOT be installed 
  10. in the same manner as the original release. See Manual.Doc for the new 
  11. installation procedure. Also, once this release is installed, you must always 
  12. start TelnetD by running "telnetd2" either directly or from InetD (see 
  13. installation instructions for details).

  15. The other new feature in this release is that the username of the logged-in 
  16. user is always placed in the environment regardless of the status of the shell 
  17. flag in the password file.
