The main reason to use ircii is scripts. If you don't using scripts
you don't need ircii at all. The most popular scripts are phoenix,
djinn and lice...You probably will start with one of these. Here are
some ftp sites, from where you can download irc-related stuff
ftp://unix.mclv.net/pub/irc/
this is official Vassago's site for Phoenix, Djinn and other scripts
ftp://ftp.misha.net/pub/irc/deadelvis/
also good site with irc stuff and scripts
http://www.yahoo.com/Computers_and_Internet/Internet/Chatting/IRC/
Yahoo IRC index.
Note about editing scripts:
Most of the scripts was developed under unix and are in unix text
format. When you edit script with some os/2 editor, after saving
all <lf> and <cr> are relpaced with <cr><lf>. This can break some
scripts (Lice for example) wich contain <cr> charcater in the middle
of the line. Solution is in using editor wich support unix format,
like boxer with -u option. Or to edit such scripts on the unix host,
and then transfer to os/2.
I know only one script, Lice, wich cannot be edited by os/2 editors,
but there can be others that I don't know.
