  4. Inet.Mail Install

  6. The Inet.Mail Install program is used to install Inet.Mail automatically. By 
  7. choosing the Install button or the menu choice, the install process is started.
  8.  
  9. The install process creates the necessary directories, unpacks the files, 
  10. builds the desktop folder, and saves the installation choices.

  17. This window shows the Hethmon Brothers license agreement for Inet.Mail. You 
  18. must agree to the terms of the license in order to install and use the software.

  20. If you do not agree with the terms and conditions as stated, please destroy all 
  21. copies of the software.

  28. This window is used to select the individual components to install. Check each 
  29. component you wish to install and then modify the directory choice as desired.

  36. The install program will update your config.sys file if you choose to reflect 
  37. several things:
  38.  
  39. 1.  Update LIBPATH to add the Inet.Mail main directory.
  40.  
  41. 2.  Update PATH to include the Bin subdirectory of Inet.Mail.
  42.  
  43. 3.  Update HELP to include the Inet.Mail main directory.
  44.  
  45. 4.  Add a SET STEWARD_CF to reflect the location of the Steward files.
  46.  
  47. 5.  Add a SET AUTOREPLY to reflect the location of the AutoReply files.
  48.  
  49. These modifications are used to make the operation of Inet.Mail as simple as 
  50. possible for you.

  52. If you do not wish the config.sys to be automatically updated, then the install 
  53. program will create a config.add file for you with the suggested modifications. 
  54. This file will be saved in the Installation Tools directory if you install them 
  55. or the Inet.Mail directory otherwise.

  78. This installation product makes use of the InfoZip group's unzip32.dll. This 
  79. dll is a freely available product.

  81. NOTE:  Hethmon Brothers Inet.Mail is packaged using Info-ZIP's compression 
  82. utility.  The installation program uses UnZip to read zip files. Info-ZIP's 
  83. software (Zip, UnZip and related utilities) is free and can be obtained as 
  84. source code or executables from various bulletin board services and 
  85. Internet/WWW sites, including CompuServe's IBMPRO forum and 
  86. ftp://ftp.cdrom.com/pub/infozip/ .

  100. If you have installation problems, these hints may help. If your problem still 
  101. persists, please contact Hethmon Brothers support via email at support@hethmon.com.

  103. Error Unzipping Files. This error is usually caused by one of the dll's in the 
  104. Inet.Mail directory being in use. The solution is to make sure all other 
  105. Hethmon Brothers programs are shut down during installation, specifically the 
  106. Ftpd program which shares some dll's with Inet.Mail.
  107.  
  108. Error Creating Directories. Steward ,AutoReply and List2Web software require 
  109. long filenames. Be sure to install them to a drive with long filename support (HPFS).
