  3. We recommend that you install iLink/2 to a separate directory.  Advanced
  4. users may wish to manually place the files in the proper tcpip/mptn
  5. directories, but the installation process does not cover this.  The
  6. install.cmd file simply creates an iLink/2 icon on your desktop.

  8. *** NOTE ***
  9.  
  10. To avoid losing data, you may wish to back up your TCPOS2.INI file.
  11. This is located in the x:\tcpip\etc directory for IAK, and x:\mptn\etc
  12. for Warp Connect users.  It is hidden, so you will need to type attrib
  13. -h tcpos2.ini to see it.

  15. iLink/2 has been thoroughly tested to try and make sure that no damage
  16. will be caused to your TCPOS2.INI file.  However, it there remains a
  17. possibility of an error occurring.
