1. In case, you have Mwave sound card on your machine:
Make sure you get the latest Mwave driver to support your Mwave card.
Hints & Tips
------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. If you are using Mwave card as a modem:
a. Maximum speed should be 14400
b. Add to the modem initialization string 1: &N0%C0
c. If you are outside of U.S.A. add to the modem initialization string 2: X0
2. There is MMPM2.INI file included in this ZIP. If you install Mwave
and previously have another sound card on your machine, please replace
your MMPM2.INI on C:\MMOS2 with this one, before installation.
If you connect with external Internet provider by modem,
you probably need to execute a next command:
3. Execute : ifconfig ppp0 (or slip0) YourDynamicLocalIPAddress DynamicRemoteIPAddress
This addresses you can get from ppp0.log (or slip0.log) from ETC directory
(e.g. C:\MPTN\ETC\ppp0.log).
Execute: route add default DynamicRemoteIPAddress 1
4. if you have OS/2 Warp (not Merlin!), then replace next DLLs in \mmos2\dll directory:
AMPMXMCD.DLL
AUDIOSH.DLL
You can replace them with a next procedure:
1) Go to the Multimedia Folder (or to the System Setup Folder)
2) Choose the Sound icon - Sound settings
3) Disable system sounds - unmark Enable system sounds.
