  5. creates a detailed summary of the server's access load in tabular, graphical
  6. and three-dimensional form.

  32. LICENSE TYPES
  33. -------------

  35. There has been some confusion recently about the license terms http-analyze
  36. is provided under. Rumors has it, that http-analyze isn't free anymore.
  37. That's wrong.  The types of the licenses are:
  38.  
  39.   o Personal License:
  40.     Available for individuals and non-profit organizations for free.
  41.     Includes the right to use the unaltered copy of http-analyze for
  42.     private or educational use. This license is the replacement for
  43.     the former freeware version of http-analyze, which was made free
  44.     under the same conditions. However, the Personal License does not
  45.     include support nor technical assistance. Registration of a Personal
  46.     License is possible only through our web site using a valid email
  47.     address to which our robot will send the registration information.
  48.     Use of http-analyze with the Personal License requires agreement to
  49.     the license terms set forth in the file LICENSE in this distribution.

  51.   o Commercial Service License:
  52.     Includes the right to use an unaltered copy of http-analyze on
  53.     a physical system for as many virtual web servers you wish.
  54.     Also includes access to an extended online support area on our
  55.     web server and the right to customize the analyzer by adding
  56.     the company's logos and suppressing the copyright note in the
  57.     statistics report. Registered users may also download special
  58.     helper applications and a copy of the user's guide to install
  59.     it on their local system. Companies and service providers are
  60.     obliged to buy a Commercial Service License in order to use
  61.     the software for commercial purposes, such as providing statistics
  62.     services for their customers. This license is available for a
  63.     reasonable one-time fee, which covers our cost for developement,
  64.     support, education of end-users, and distribution of the analyzer.
  65.     The Commercial Service License may be ordered by email
  66.     (<office@rent-a-guru.de>) or by fax (+49.6221.803899) from
  67.     RENT-A-GURU using the order form included in this distribution.

  69.   o Unlimited Commercial Service License:
  70.     Companies, who wish to use http-analyze on many physical systems
  71.     can buy an Unlimited Commercial Service License which covers all
  72.     systems at their local site for a reasonable one-time fee.
  73.  
  74.   o Single Site Source License:
  75.     This license allows modifications of the sources for own purposes on
  76.     own platforms (for example, on one developement and one production
  77.     system). Necessary to completely change the analyzer software (for
  78.     example to integrate it in some other products). The Single Site
  79.     Source License does not include the right for redistribution of
  80.     either the source code or the resulting binaries.

  82.   o Unlimited Source License:
  83.     Just as a Single Site Source License, but also includes the
  84.     right to redistribe the resulting binaries.

  90. We will charge the following prices for the different licenses (German
  91. customers add 16% MwSt.). For the per-CPU prices, the term "CPU" describes
  92. a separate, physical system regardless of the number of physical processors
  93. and regardless of the number of web servers running on it.

  107.   made in German Marks (DM). This is usually no problem for a bank.

  109. **We have used an exchange rate of 1.65 DM per dollar, so the dollar prices
  110.   above are estimated costs at worst case conditions. You must instruct your
  111.   bank to cover all exchange and handling fees from your end. We cannot be
  112.   responsible for bank charges due to wire transfers, currency exchange etc.
