The HOST program is an internet utility that is used to retrieve
information from a domain name server (DNS) about a particular host name
or IP address. This OS/2 rendition is similar to the common UNIX
utility of the same name, but somewhat simplified; that is, the option
switches are not implemented. It always gives you all the information
that your DNS has about the specified name or IP address.
Execute this from an OS/2 command prompt by entering "HOST" and the name
or IP address in question. For example:
HOST NIC.DDN.MIL
or
HOST 128.230.1.49
or
HOST 10
That's all there is to it!
