  6. This is shareware, but unregistered copies are not crippled.
  7. For more details, read FtpServer.INF.

  9. Note that this version is significantly different from version
  10. 0.70, in that symbolic links are implemented.  You will see
  11. the difference when running the PMSetup (or VIOSetup) program.

  14. QUICK INSTALLATION
  15.  1. Unzip the distribution file into a directory of your choice,
  16.     for example D:\Apps\FtpServer.  If you're upgrading from a
  17.     previous version, you should normally unzip into the directory
  18.     you were already using to hold FtpServer - that way the new
  19.     version will continue to use the existing INI file settings.
  20.  
  21.  2. If you're upgrading from version 0.52 or earlier, execute
  22.     the command
  23.             LOADPRM *
  24.     to copy your existing *.prm files to the server's INI file.
  25.     (This is not needed if you're using a version later than 0.52,
  26.     or if this is the first time you have installed FtpServer.)
  27.  
  28.  3. If you're upgrading from version 0.70 or earlier, you need
  29.     to convert some of the INI file data to the new format.
  30.     The easiest way to do this is with the sequence of commands
  31.             STOREPRM *
  32.             LOADPRM *
  33.     (See the manual for other possibilities.)
  34.  
  35.  4. Optional: to create an FtpServer folder on your desktop,
  36.     run FOLDER.CMD.
  37.  
  38.  5. Read the INF file.
  39.  
  40.  6. Run PMSetup or VIOSetup to create users.
