  14. **** IMPORTANT NOTE FOR V2.10 and V2.11 USERS ****

  16. If you reinstalled OS/2 or run different OS/2 partitions, and have had a
  17. problem with losing registration, your current FTPIT.INI may have been
  18. created in a root directory instead of the FTPIT directory. Please check
  19. the root directories of your OS/2 boot drives for an FTPIT.INI file that
  20. is more recent than the one in your FTPIT directory. If you find this
  21. condition, please copy the most recent FTPIT.INI to your FTPIT directory
  22. before executing this version.

  26. Now, if you are reading this from the INSTALL program's initial window,
  27.           please skip down to 'Running INSTALL.EXE'

  32. FTP-It! is installed from an installation ZIP, ftpit23.exe, that you can
  33. download from many of the popular FTP sites.
  34.  
  35. You can always find the most current version of FTP-It! at:
  36.       ftp.wilmington.net/bmtmicrom, OR
  37.       http://www.bmtmicro.com
  38. We also upload to hobbes, leo and other sites.

  40. Note that the ZIP is a self-extracting zip of the installation files, and
  41. that the program's version number will be part of the file name so it will
  42. change with each new release.

  46. To install FTP-It! from the installation ZIP that has been downloaded
  47.   into the temporary directory C:\TEMP
  48.  
  49.     - Open an OS/2 command window
  50.  
  51.     - Type  C:  and press ENTER
  52.  
  53.     - Type  CD \TEMP  and press ENTER
  54.  
  55.     - Type  ftpit23  and press ENTER to extract the installation files
  56.  
  57.     - Type INSTALL and press ENTER
  58.  
  59.     - Skip down to 'Running INSTALL.EXE'

  64. Running INSTALL.EXE

  66.   At this point you should be reading this from the INSTALL program window
  67.  
  68.   - Click 'Actions' on the menu bar and then click 'Install Product'
  69.  
  70.   - Wait for the 'Installation directory' window
  71.  
  72.   - Change the destination drive and/or directory if you want to
  73.  
  74.      NOTE: PLEASE don't change anything else on this window

  76.   - Press ENTER

  78.   - Verify the location of the installation files is correct, and
  79.      change it if necessary

  81.   - Press ENTER and wait for installation to complete

  83.   - Press and hold ALT and press F4 to close the installation program
