  8. HTML ColourPlucker is a simple utility to find the right colour for HTML 
  9. documents, such as page backgrounds and text colours. 
  10.  
  11. To find out what is the best colour for web page backgrounds, type your 6-digit 
  12. hexadecimal code in the space allocated for Red, Green, and Blue. The colour 
  13. will appear in the Current colour  rectangle. The colour tried immediately 
  14. before will appear in the Previous colour  rectangle. To see how the colours 
  15. compare to different text colours, choose an appropriate colour from the Text 
  16. colour  selection. Use the pushbuttons as follows -

  19.            This produces the current colour, from the numbers which appeared in 
  20.            the R-G-B boxes. 
  21.  
  22.  Revert 
  23.            This replaces your current set of colours with the previous set. 
  24.            This is used when comparing colours, so you can find just  the right 
  25.            shade for you . 
  26.  
  27.  Pluck 
  28.            When you have found your ideal scheme, plucking  will copy the 
  29.            colour to the clipboard to use in your HTML document. It will be in 
  30.            the form COLOR="#RRGGBB" TEXT="#RRGGBB"

  32.            Attention -  The background colour tag (according to HTML version 
  33.            3.2) is BGCOLOR. Make sure you insert the BG before the rest.

  41. To run ColourPlucker, you'll need OS/2 Warp 3.0 or above.

  43. To install ColourPlucker, move the following files to a target directory of 
  44. your choice, like \OS2\APPS. They must all reside in the same directory.

  46.      colpluk.exe

  48.      colpluk.ico

  50.      colpluk.inf

  52.      inst.cmd

  54.  By running inst.cmd, you will create a desktop object for ColourPlucker.

  56.  To uninstall ColourPlucker, delete the above files from their directory, and 
  57.  remove the desktop object.

  62. ColourPlucker is provided as a fully-functional product with no limitations. 
  63. However, it is shareware.  If you regularly use this product, please be kind
