  8. What This Diskette Does
  9. -----------------------
  10. The Video Features Diskette IV for OS/2 provides drivers to:
  11.  - Improve the drawing performance on the display
  12.  - Provide a resolution up to 1600x1200 for a CRT monitor
  13.  - Provide various color depths: 256, 64K, or 16M for a CRT monitor
  14.  
  15. The following models are supported:

  60. Installation Guide
  61. ------------------
  62. <Preparation>
  63. If you are reinstalling the display driver in a system that already has
  64. an old version of that driver installed, do the following:
  65. If not, skip this procedure.
  66.  
  67. 1. Turn on the computer and start OS/2.
  68. 2. When a small white box appears in the upper left corner of the
  69.    screen, press Alt+F1.
  70. 3. When the Recovery Choices screen appears:
  71.    - In Warp Version 3: press V.
  72.    - In Warp Version 4: press F3.
  73. 4. Shut down OS/2 after the VGA driver is installed.
  74. 5. Turn off the computer.

  76. <Installation>
  77. 1. Turn on the computer and start OS/2.
  78. 2. Set the display device to LCD only.
  79. 3. Insert the ThinkPad Video Features Diskette IV for OS/2 into
  80.    the diskette drive.
  81. 4. Open an OS/2 window or a full-screen command prompt.
  82. 5. Type A: at the command prompt and press Enter.
  83. 6. Type INSTALL at the A:\> prompt and press Enter.
  84.       A:\>INSTALL
  85. 7. Follow the instructions on the screen.
  86. 8. After the installation is complete, remove the diskette, shut down
  87.    OS/2, and restart the computer.
