  1. IMPORTANT INSTALLATION PROCEDURES AND LATEST INFORMATION

  4. PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE YOU BEGIN INSTALLATION.
  5.  
  6.  
  7. To Install Cirrus Logic Drivers for OS\2 2.0 read User Manual or
  8. clinst20.txt for instructions.
  9.  
  10. To install Cirrus Logic Drivers for OS\2 2.1 read User Manual or
  11. clinst21.txt for instructions.

  14. Note:
  15.  
  16. If you downloaded these files from the BBS, unzip the file to a disk
  17. and label the disk DISP 1 before installation.

  23. Problems running SVGA.EXE in DOS
  24. _________________________________

  26.  
  27. If you encounter problems using SVGA.EXE in Windowed DOS or Full 
  28. Screen DOS, follow the procedures below:
  29.  
  30. 1. Have a DOS Boot Disk Available and boot with the DOS operating 
  31.    system in drive A.
  32.    If you are running an older BIOS prior to v1.30 and you need to run 
  33.    the new BIOS TSR, load the TSR at this time.
  34.    ex: VGA22.EXE
  35.  
  36. 2. Run CLMODE.EXE to set monitor type.
  37.    ex: CLMODE M5
  38.  
  39. 3. Insert the CIRRUS OS/2 INSTALLATION DISK in Drive A.
  40.  
  41. 4. Run SVGA.EXE
  42.    ex: SVGA ON DOS
  43.    This will create an SVGADATA.DOS file on your diskette.
  44.  
  45. 5. Copy this file to your OS/2 subdirectory in your hard drive.
  46.    ex: copy a:\SVGADATA.DOS c:\os2\SVGADATA.PMI
  47.  
  48. 6. Remove disk from drive A and reboot OS/2 operating system.
  49.    
  50. Anytime SVGA.EXE will not run in WINDOWED DOS OR FULL SCREEN DOS, 
  51. repeat this procedure.
